The prized melodrama or dramatic comedy, written by the actor, playwright, screenwriter and poet Eduardo de Filippo, one of the key personas of Italian theatre of the 20th century, places in its centre the character of a woman whose duality of character both confuses and intoxicates. The role of Filomena, on stage and film, was played by many great actresses and probably the most famous film interpretation is the one given by Sophia Loren in ''Marriage Italian Style'', where her partner was Marcello Mastroianni. The content is more important than the form for De Filippo, the heart stronger than the mind, so this ''Filumena'', directed by Dražen Ferenčina should first and foremost be a performance of strong personalities, focused od the relationships and the emotinons, immersed in the contradiction of a ''crazy living climate''...
